Australian TV Logie Award Show |

In two weeks, Rose will be handing out awards at Australian television award show the Logies. THE countdown is on for TV’s night of nights, with the TV Week Logie Awards a mere fortnight away. Most of the presenters have been locked in for the evening, but, while organisers have been happy to reveal a number of the stars who will hand out the gongs, no one will confirm who has been given the honour of presenting the Gold Logie. Will it be TV great Bert Newton or three time gold winner Daryl Somers? Or will organisers opt for a bit of glamour and get Rose Byrne who is in town filming Knowing alongside Nicolas Cage, to do the honours? Source |

Filming in Corio, Australia: Local Talent Wanted |

Rose will be in Corio April 28-30 on set for Knowing. They will continue shooting in Melbourne until the end of June. The director of Knowing is encouraging local residents to apply to be extras in the film, so if you live nearby, it’s your lucky day! Casting will take place between 8am-6.30pm this Monday at Screen Actors Studio, 32-34 Lt Ryrie St. People hoping to score a role as one of the drivers need to supply details of their cars such as the make, model and registration. Nic is back in the Vic, lending his considerable star power to $45 million sci-fi thriller Knowing. He’s playing a character with the weight of the world on his shoulders, trying to stop a time capsule filled with chilling prophecies from becoming reality. But word from some onlookers is that Nic is looking a little more lightweight than usual for the role. “He’s looking very skinny. He doesn’t look as big as he used to. He’s lost a bit of weight,” one starstruck bystander said. Cameras began rolling last month on the flick, which co-stars homegrown starlet Rose Byrne.
