The Museum of Modern Art’s department of film held its first annual gala Monday night, which honored Baz Lurhmann and was sponsored by Louis Vuitton and Vogue. Scores of the director’s Aussie compatriots came out in support, including honorary chairman Hugh Jackman, Rupert Murdoch, Jacinda Barrett and Rose Byrne.

“I go home every so often,” said Byrne. “I just shot a movie in Melbourne but I had to do an American accent because it is set in Boston. That was a bit weird.”

Calvin Klein, Inc. announced today that Calvin Klein Collection dressed actress Rose Byrne and designer Tory Burch last night for their appearance at the film benefit hosted by The Museum of Modern Art honoring Award-winning filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, last night in New York City.

Ms. Byrne wore a silver silk and wool single shoulder dress from the Spring 2009 Calvin Klein Collection. Ms. Byrne also wore silver metal mesh cube pumps and carried a pearl grey satin flap clutch both from Calvin Klein Collection[...]designed by the brand’s women’s Creative Director, Francisco Costa.
