She recently took a creative writing course and is a member of an online book club: “I would much rather read novels than scripts. I think they take something away from you, whereas a book gives you something back.” She spends any other free time — with 16-hour days spent filming Damages there isn’t much of it — at home with Cowell. There are no imminent marriage plans, but Byrne says she would like a family. “Coming from a big family, I know how wonderful it is and I’ve just always assumed that I’ll have kids one day.”

Byrne would like to work with her “No 1 director” David Lynch and make another movie with Danny Boyle — “He has endless enthusiasm; he’s brilliant. But what I really want to do is to finish my degree. It’s about completion, finishing what you start. And then there’s that thing of having something to fall back on. People may get sick of you, the work may dry up, whatever. If I did have to get another job, I’ve no idea what I’d do — maybe teaching or research. I haven’t found anything so far that appeals as much as acting, but you never know. Life changes on a dime.”

Thanks to everyone who has emailed me about articles =) There are too many reviews of Adam to post up here, but needless to say, most of them praise her acting and the movie.

Rose looked fabulous on The View! I’m loving this lighter shade of brown that she’s sporting. So much better than the darker, which I felt washed her out a bit.

Well, as many of you might know Rose was snubbed last night on the Craig Ferguson show do to what I call poor time management. They simply ran out of time to talk to her and this young woman flew in from New York to appear on the show. I don’t think James Spader did that he lives in L.A. :|

Anyway, she’s been rescheduled to appear on Wednesday, August 5th. And knowing Rose’ personality she’s a good sport about it. :smile:

I’m sure they taped it that day, so they’ll just air it Wednesday ;)
