Also, I’m still working on trying to get the complete article of the July edition of Vogue Australia. All of my local magazine shops are criminally behind on supplying that month’s issue. (If only I lived in Oz!!) I will keep you posted on my quest for the complete article.

Rose’s July 2010 issue of Vogue is being auctioned on ebay, but the seller is only shipping to Australia (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120600713598&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_500wt_1156). You wouldn’t happen to live there, would you?

Love the “Emmy seat” pic (they used one of my very favorite photos of Rose). Where did you find it? I’m confused about Neal Patrick Harris sitting next to her, though — wasn’t he the host?

Sadly, I do not live in Australia… (though, it is my ultimate dream to live there.)

I found the “Emmy seat” pic a few days ago on an Australian news site. (But for the life of me, I can’t remember the site’s name.) Although NPH was the host of the show, he also needed a place to sit as a nominee. And I’m pretty sure I remember that hosts for awards shows get a seat by default. (Even though they will not be occupying it for the bulk of the night.)

Your seat assignment sometimes dictates your chances of winning that night. Front row yes, check, but way off to the side from the stage.

The running joke for Rose from a Aussie blogger was, “Well at least she’s seated near the emergency exit in case anything were to happen at the venue.”

I contacted the ebay seller of the July “Vogue Australia” issue and offered to buy a Xerox copy (or a computer scan) of the article, but I must have come off like an obsessed lunatic, because I have yet to hear back from her. It would seem that finding a golden ticket in a Wonka bar is easier than obtaining the “missing page” from Rose’s interview. :-/

Sorry to clutter your site with so many comments, but … I just heard back from the ebay seller and she promised to email me scans of the article. When I receive them, should I email the “missing page” to rose.connection@gmail.com?

I know what you mean, D. I’ve contacted a few people (via the vogue.au forums) who bought the magazine, but I haven’t gotten a response yet either… I swear I’m going to be singing “I’ve Got A Golden Ticket” when I finally obtain the missing page. :P

PLEASE send the scan! I’ve been trying for so long to get it, and when I read that the seller had responded to your e-mail, I almost leaped out of my seat. Oh, and, as promised-
“I’ve got a golden chance to make my way,
and with a golden ticket it’s a golden day—”

Alas, being promised a golden ticket and actually having one in hand are two different things — I’m still waiting for the scans to arrive via email. It probably would have been best to wait until I had them in my possession before getting your hopes up, but I wanted to stop you from unnecessarily spending money on the entire issue (shipping from Australia can be costly).
